A VIENNA-STYLE CIRCULAR DISH painted with Ester seated on red drapery beside a banquet-table before a sacrifical urn among columns, King Ahaseurus standing beside her ordering the seizure of Haman, with warriors and other figures and with a servant kneeling at her feet with a ewer and basin, enclosed within a rectangular cartouche outlined in gilding with leaves, seeding and key-pattern, the circular cavetto richly gilt with caryatids on a celadon ground within foliage and zigzag outlines and reserved with gold-ground circular cartouches enclosing goddesses and with red-ground oval cartouches enclosing centurions en grisaille, the border painted with centaurs within demi-lune cartouches divided by geometric-shaped panels, the whole richly gilt with scrolls, foliage and animal's masks (minor glaze cracks on the reverse), blue beehive mark and black script, circa 1880, fabric-covered frame (worn)
