A PAIR OF GILT-METAL AND WHITE-ONYX-MOUNTED TAPERING CYLINDRICAL PEDESTALS, the dark-blue grounds reserved with two shaped friezes encircling the bodies, the upper frieze with playful putti in landscapes, the lower frieze with figures wearing 18th Century dress in Arcadian landscapes, each outlined with ciselé gilt bands, foliate-scrolls and trellis-patterns, mounted with onyx shelves and plinths, the columns mounted with metal Corinthian capitals, gadroons on the lower body and with stiff leaves on the stepped plinths (one with large and small chips to porcelain at base, minute chips to onyx), circa 1880
