A PAIR OF GILT-METAL-MOUNTED SÈVRES-PATTERN DARK-BLUE-GROUND URN-SHAPED VASES AND TWO COVERS painted with extensive landscapes forming a continuous frieze and painted on the front with merchants, one vase with a figure wearing a turban, conversing with seated ladies, the other with a fisherboy hauling a net and another with barrels, the reverses with buildings in estuaries, within horizontal bands of turquoise and white 'jewels', mounted with finials, two double angular handles with pinecone finials and pendent laurel-wreaths (some 'jewels' lacking, covers restored, slight wear to gilding), imitation blue interlaced L marks, circa 1860
