The eared rectangular lozenge-pierced three-quarter galleried top above a frieze drawer and hinged fall-front enclosing a fitted interior with black leather-lined writing-surface, seven brass and ebony-inlaid drawers and three pigeon-holes, flanked by fluted angles with mille-raies panelled capitals, the base with two further drawers enclosing a drawer and a shelf, on turned tapering toupie feet, with chalk inscription to the reverse POLE HOUSE, FEET...
