Katana signed Echizen Shigetaka and wakizashi signed Hizen Masahiro, 17th century
The katana blade honzukuri, iorimune with slight curve with two bohi (grooves) with large point (o-gissaki), the forging pattern ko-itame with some masame mixed with ko-choji of nie and sunagashi, boshi ko-maru, tang suriage, signed Echizen kuni Harima Daijo Fujuwara Shigetaka, 68.1cm.; the wakizashi blade honzukuri, iorimune with koshizori and medium point (chu-gissaki), the forging pattern tight itame, large cloves (o-choji), in ko-nie with sunagashi throughout the entire length, boshi of small hakikake, tang suriage, signed Hizen kuni Fujiwara Daijo Masahiro, 45.7cm.; tsuba of shakudo nanako with the design among clouds, associated shakudo fuchi, one with the floral design in Mino Goto style, the other flowers and matsukawa-bishi, horn kashira, scabbards of black lacquer, the wakizashi with the upper part finished with raden inlaid with gilt kiku, wakizashi with kozuka and kogai (2)
