Each of shaped oval form, raised on four scroll feet headed by anthemion, with foliate scroll side handles and gadrooned rim, the domed cover surmounted by a pomegranate finial, engraved with armorials, the cover engraved with a crest, marked under bases and on covers--length over handles 8 1/4in. (21 cm.)

The arms are those of Egerton with those of Assheton on an escutcheon of pretence, as borne by Thomas Egerton, born in 1749, who married in 1769 Eleanor, 2nd daughter and co-heir of Sir Ralph Assheton, 3rd. Bt. He was created Earl of Wilton in 1801 and died in 1815.
