A VICTORIAN PARCEL-GILT CENTERPIECE AND MIRRORED PLATEAU

The centerpiece raised on three matted shell feet headed by acanthus scrolls, stylized foliage and shells, joined by an openwork foliage and drapery swag apron below a lobed shaped circular base repousse and chased at intervals with strapwork and foliate vacant cartouches, rising to a naturalistic pedestal above a beaded rim, supporting three freestanding silver-gilt putti at play amid a grapevine and enclosing a fluted knopped baluster central standard with similar decoration supporting a cut-glass faceted circular bowl, the mirrored plateau raised on three openwork acanthus scroll feet, the sides with similar decoration at intervals below a rim of acanthus-clad circles, engraved with a crest, marked on base, putti, grapevine and mirrored plateau--overall height 20 1/4in.
