Each of inverted pear-shaped form, on spreading circular foot chased with a band of stiff leaf below acanthus, the body with lobed acanthus panels below an elaborate band of entwined grape vines on a matted ground, applied with bearded masks at intervals, and enclosing a vacant oval cartoucheon on one, the other engraved Sister Agnes from The King & Queen Christmas 1935, the slip-on high domed cover pierced with panels of foliage above a lobed foliate band and below a similar stiff leaf band, surmounted by a foliate baluster finial, marked on bodies and covers--9 3/8in. (23.8cm.) high
