John Baumann was one of several important Baumann Family printers associated with the Ephrata press. Other birth records sharing the three-heart format include a birth record for Maria DeWald of Maidencreek Township, Berks County (FLP 449); for Cattarina Gangenwer of Upper Saucon Township, Northampton [Lehigh] County (Garvan, fig. 13, p.300); and for Carrel Trollinger of Rockhill Township, Bucks County (Garvan, fig.14, p.300).
John Moll, whose birth and baptism is documented in this record, went on to become one of the most renowned Kentucky Rifle manufacturers of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
