The compressed body well carved in shallow relief with a band of confronted archaistic birds on an incised leiwen ground, below two small masks separating further pairs of birds on the shallow, waisted neck and a pair of dragon-head handles suspending loose rings, the domed cover similarly decorated below a coiled dragon finial, the stone of pale grey-green colour with some opaque buff inclusions and russet fissuring--8½in.
