Of rectangular form with canted corners, the cover and front inset with satinwood conch shells in stained harewood oval reserves, the edges inset with rosewood stringing, the canted corners with further boxwood inlay to resemble pilasters, with ivory escutcheon, on four brass ball feet, the interior with twin subsidiary shaped covers with turned ivory handles, distressed -- 7½in. (19cm.) wide, 5½in. (14cm.) high, 4½in. (11.4cm.) deep; and an unusual English mahogany and brass inlaid tea caddy, early 19th century, of lozenge form, the cover warped (2)
