The deep sides with everted mouth rims, carved on the exterior with two rows of spectacle-shaped guri scrolls above a band of ruyi-head lappets around the foot ring (interior re-lacquered)
8 5/8 in. (21.9 cm.) diam.

Compare with two similar deep bowls: the first, from the Colonel MacEwan collection, sold in these Rooms, 1 May 1994, lot 553; and the other from the E. T. Chow collection sold in our London Rooms, 14 December 1983, lot 19.
