The convex bowl with continuous walls on a short stem, a molding at the juncture of stem and foot, the rounded edge of the foot reserved, on each side, between a pair of large eyes, each with a black banded oculus, is a nude satyr approaching Dionysos, vines in the field, a dolphin under each handle, the tondo with a figure of Herakles, running right but looking left, with a mantle over his left arm, his club in his right, details in added red, intact, 3 1/8in. (8cm.) high, 7 3/4in. (19.7cm.) diam. excluding handles
