Early 18th Century, attributed to Jodocus de Vos, after Lambert de Hondt II
Woven in wools and silks, depicting La Marche from the Art of Wars series, with a general seated on a white horse and holding a staff flanked by numerous figures on horseback and their pages, the background with a multitude of soldiers in marching formation, and within an open lansdscape, the foliate border with foliate cartouches to the angles and with a trophy to the bottom and a simulated coat-of-arms to the top, within a brown outer slip, the blue outer slip to the base later, areas of reweaving and some patching, the top with a later brown slip, previously folded to both sides
