The rectangular removable red leather-lined top with a chessboard flanked by two rectangular black leather-lined surfaces to the reverse, enclosing a backgammon well flanked by amaranth and mahogany parquetry panels surrounded by ivory scoring-holes, the shaped apron to the front with two short drawers above cabriole legs headed by a pierced C-scroll mount above a bead-and-reel band and terminating in conforming sabots, with two leather dice shakers and fourteen ebony and fifteen ivory counters, stamped 'L.A. DESEINE' to the underside of the front, the drawers reveneered, the top with later rim, restorations
