The shaped rectangular top inlaid with three boxwood and satinwood- lined marquetry panels depicting floral sprays, drapings and ribbon-hung musical trophies inscribed III DE LA GARDE ROYAL, the sliding hinged central section revealing a mirror, the side flaps opening on two wells, the shaped frieze with further floral marquetry panels enclosing a leather-lined writing surface, one long and one short drawer, on cabriole legs with foliate and scrolled sabots, losses to veneer
