Circular, the centre of the detachable cover with a perpetual calendar on black champlevé enamel within a square cartouche, beneath a crest, all within translucent green, red and yellow champlevé enamel arabesque foliate scrolls, incorporating bird masks and floral garlands, the outer border enamelled in black with the Easter Table within nineteen cartouches, each on a black enamel ground within coloured enamel and engraved scrolling foliate scroll and shell borders, the base with five mathematical tables for the prediction of the Sunset, High Tides, Moonlight, and two for the Equation of Time, all on a black ground surrounded by coloured enamel arabesque foliate scrolls and with a bird with wing's displayed above the central panel, with reeded rims, plain sides and gilt interior, apparently unmarked
