Dean & Son
two moveable comic cards, both hand-coloured, marked Dean & Son, 11 Ludgate Hill, one of a lady getting of a train, with two men standing beside her, pulling the tab reveals her read stockings and bottom of petty coat, verse reads 'Oh what a frequent thing to see, as thro the streets you pass each day,/A lady dress'd in gaiety, monopolize the pavement way;/Tis surely too a pretty fuss, they cause within the omnibus,/With Crinoline tis quite a sight, to see fair ones from it alight/Your portrait true can here be seen,pray say adieu to Crinoline' - 8¾in. 22cm. high, circa 1830; the other of a lady, holding a parasol, lifting the skirt reveals her undergarments, verse reads 'If this you move, there will be seen,/The mysteries of Crinoline,/And underneath there is I ween/a "Hoop" de dooden do/....' - 8½in. 12cm. high, circa 1830
