Of vase-shaped form on spreading circular foot with a band of chased gadrooning and raised on a sqaure pedestal base on four massive paw, palmette, and honeysuckle supports, the body half-gadrooned with a molded girdle, the ovolo rim applied below a band of chased gadrooning, the domed cover with similar gadrooning and surmounted by a perforated bud finial, the two reeded handles with acanthus and scroll decoration issuing from lion masks, with reeded lion mask spigot with rope-twisted handle terminating in bone flower, the interior with silver pig compartment and cover, engraved on body and cover with a crest and motto, marked on body, cover, pig compartment, and pig compartment cover--13 3/4in.(35cm.) high
