First published at Pavia, 1792-97, this is an account of Spallanzani's journeys to investigate the volcanic activities of Southern Italy -- Sir William HAMILTON. Observations on Mount Vesuvius, Mount Etna, and other Volcanos in a series of letters addressed to the Royal Society. London: for T. Cadell, 1773. 5 engraved plates, folding engraved map.
