MORYSON, Fynes. An Itinerary written ... first in the Latin tongue and then translated by him into English. Containing his ten years travell through the twelve dominions of Germany, Bohmerland, Sweitzerland, Netherland, Denmarke, Poland, Italy, Turky, France, England, Scotland, and Ireland. 3 parts in one volume, 2° (324 x 204mm). Double-page title. Woodcut illustrations, including plans of Venice, Naples, Rome and Genoa. (Wanting first leaf, blank except for signature, and final blank, 3T3 torn with slight loss at corner and repaired, some old dampstains, mainly affecting preliminaries and end leaves, occasional soiling, heaviest at 2O3r and 3d4v, clean tear to 3X4 and 4A5 affecting 8 lines of text on both leaves, marginal tears to 2Y2, 3A4 and a few other leaves, small burn-hole to H4, 2L3 holed at outer margin.) Late 17th-century calf, red speckled edges (recased, new spine label and endpapers, extremities rubbed). Provenance: Philip Hamond (19th-century bookplate).
