A Pala dark grey stone frieze
carved in relief with a standing multi-armed deity wearing an elaborate crown, jewellery and doti, holding various attributes, flanked by two female acolytes, above kneeling figures among foliate and lotus petal bases, the mandarla carved with a Garuda head terminal, above figures in flight and various mythical animals -- 31¾in. (80.5cm.) high, (one piece restuck, chips to extremities).
