THREE SMALL AMBER BRUSHWASHERS AND AN AMBER SNUFF BOTTLE

One well carved as a lingzhi fungus with lingzhi meander carved around the sides and two spiders on the rim; another formed as a lotus leaf with a shell in the center, a frog handle at one end and flowering and budding stems on the underside; the third as an upturned leaf with a large cicada and a smaller insect on the sides; the snuff bottle of large size and tapering spade shape, carved in low relief on one side with a scholar walking beneath a pine tree and on the reverse with a mythical beast, with lion-mask and ring handles carved on the shoulders, the opaque caramel-colored areas of the amber artfully incorporated into the carving, stopper
