Of flattened, tapering baluster form, carved in low relief on one side with a butterfly and on the other with flowers rising from three outcroppings of rock at the base, with a recumbent dog atop the center rock, a chrysanthemum sprouting from one and magnolia from the other, the branch looped over at the top to suspend a loose ring before continuing behind the neck to form a similar handle on the other side where a bird is perched, the cover with plump bud finial, the stone of mottled lavender tone with a few splashes of green used to highlight the carving
