A group of similar bottles exists with a variety of colored overlays on a snowstorm ground and each with different painted scenes under a clear glass circular panel at their centers

For another example with blue overlay and a watch-face on each side see Sotheby's, New York, September 17, 1996, lot 30

For an example painted with fruiting trees see Hugh Moss, Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Collection of the Rt. Hon. The Marquis of Exeter, K.C.M.G., London and Bradford, 1974, pp. 150-151, no. M.6. Another was offered at Sotheby's, Hong Kong, Important Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Collection of Eric Young, Part IV, October 28, 1993, lot 1032. For further discussion of this group see Hugh Moss, I.C.S.B.S, Journal, Summer, 1987, p. 18
