A YINGQING CIRCULAR COSMETIC BOX AND COVER

The interior of the box fitted with three shallow cups, one plain, the other two with applied petals rising from the sides, the three separated by slender leafy stems terminating in buds and emanating from the base of a central bud, the cover with slightly concave top well carved with a foliate spray surrounded by a hatchured band on the slightly rounded, canted shoulder, the glaze of grayish blue-green tone; together with a yingqing bowl, Southern Song dynasty, the rounded lower body rising to a flared upper body with unglazed rim cut with six notches, the crackled glaze of pale turquoise tone
