The two vases of upright elongated oval shape each rising from a separate circular foot, decorated with animal mask-handles, elaborately embraced around the exterior with gilt dragons and phoenix in relief against a lotus-scroll cloisonn and gilt-ground, the detachable double socle similarly decorated and enamelled, standing on eight ruyi feet
