The cartouche-shaped padded back and drop-in seat covered in flowerhead-filled trellis-decorated green cotton, the moulded back with C-scrolls above the out-turned arms and moulded seat with C-scrolled pierced apron above cabriole legs with a foliate trail and fluted pad feet, the top of the toprail lacking, variations to the underside of the side seat-rails

A suite of fauteuils of very closely related design is in the Sala dei Putti in the Palazzo Albrizzi, Venice (P. Lauritzen and A. Zielcke, Palaces of Venice, Munich, 1978, p. 220). The palace was built for the Bonomo family in the 16th Century and subsequently acquired in two stages by the Albrizzi family in 1648 and 1692.
