The recumbent elephant carved in the round with head and legs curled to the left, the facial features, trunk and tail incised, a hole pierced beside the trunk for suspension, the underside carved with the four legs, the stone of predominantly rich dark brown and black tones with paler caramel tones to the back, with a smooth even polish
