A PAIR OF VERY RARE FAMILLE ROSE FLORAL MEDALLION BOWLS
ENCIRCLED YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD

The finely potted sides gently rounded above the ringfoot and flaring towards the slightly lipped rim, finely and delicately decorated around the exterior with exotic scattered and overlapping flower blossom roundels in famille rose and iron-red enamels, the interiors white (small glaze rim chip to one bowl)--6in. (15.2cm.) diam. (2)

The designs are delicately executed on a very fine white glaze of exceptional lustre. The excellent quality of the glaze enhances the delicate enamels typifing the best examples of enamelled wares in the Yongzheng period.
