Converted from flintlock, with rebrowned twist barrel engraved with a sunburst at the breech, patent breech with two gold lines (one incomplete), signed bevelled lock with roller, engraved tail and Forsyth-type hammer, figured walnut half-stock (fore-end cracked), engraved iron mounts, silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, horn fore-end cap, and associated brass-tipped ramrod (front ramrod-pipe loose, in worn condition), London proof marks
