The logo to the tip of the handle may relate to the founder John Fathers. A similar skillet sold in these rooms, The John Fardon Collection, 1 May 1996, lot 179.

A leaded bronze skillet, 17th century
the handle cast with the motto and date PITTY THE PORE 1684, with the logo I.F. pierced by an arrow motif to the tip, the handle supported by a solid wedge-shaped bracket to the pan, the pan with reeded ornament to the rim, the numbers 7 and 8 cast in low relief to the underside, the pan -- 6in. (15.2cm) diam, length overall -- 14 1/8in. (35.8cm)
