A set of twelve Satsuma cups and saucers painted and gilt with panels of birds, cockerels and hens in flowering gardens of chrysanthemums and peonies tied to canes, among blossoming trees, maple, lotus and irises, all on blue grounds decorated in gilt with further flowersprays -- the saucers 4 3/8in. (11cms) diam, signed Kinkozan, (one saucer with tiny chip to underside of rim).
