The vendor visited John Pasche's studio in London in 1974 shortly after an exhibition featuring this Stickey Fingers album cover was shown in this city. John Pasche gave this transparency to the vendor because he had expressed an interest in the Rolling Stones and this particular album. The album was apparently released in Spain with Pasche's version of the cover because Andy Warhol's famous fly zipper design was unacceptable to the Franco authorities at the time. It has since been deleted. The vendor understood from John Pasche that the photograph was not taken specifically for the Spanish edition but as a contender for the international release, however it was rejected in favour of Warhol's design.
