Sellers and Ekland first met when they were both staying at the Dorchester Hotel, London, in January 1964. Sellers sent his valet, Bert Mortimer, to Ekland to ask if he could take some photographs of her. Sellers was a very keen and skilled photographer. Afterwards they went and saw Seller's new movie, The Pink Panther, in Leicester Square.
