Both sides of this cup feature Dionysos, seated on a stool and holding a vessel in his outstretched hand, between large eyes and a gesticulating satyr, with vines in the field. In the tondo is a satyr absconding with a herm of the god, with the statue’s base likely shown at the right. For a similar example, see the cup in the Smart Museum of Art (inv. no. 1967.115.337), Beazley Archive Pottery Database no. 331772.
