The Tughra is that of Ottoman Sultan Abdülaziz I (1830–1876), the 32nd Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, ruling from 1861 to 1876.

Abdülaziz I (1830–1876) was the son of Sultan Mahmud II. His reign took place during a period of intense modernization. He continued the Tanzimat modernization reforms, expanded the Ottoman navy, and became the first Ottoman sultan to visit Europe. His costly modernization projects deepened the empire’s financial troubles, leading to his deposition in 1876. He died soon after under disputed circumstances, officially ruled a suicide.
