LATE SHANG DYNASTY, 13TH-12TH CENTURY BC

A jade comb of similar shape, but of slightly larger size (7.1 cm.) and carved on either side of the handle with a taotie mask, from the late Shang, ca. 1250 BC, tomb of Fu Hao, is illustrated in Zhongguo Yuqi Heji, vol. 2, Shang, Xi Zhou, Hebei, 1993, pp. 42 and 237, no. 50.
