[POTTER, Beatrix] An autograph postcard and a one-page autograph letter, both signed, the former postmarked "Ambleside, 22 Dec '34", and addressed to "Mrs Benson, Troutbeck Park, Troutbeck, Nr. Windemere", stating: "Tell the little nephew I'll bring a picture book for him next time - the little chap looked so disappointed, I was sorry I had not enough with me for all the children ... from H. B. Heelis", the latter, dated "Oct. 22, '43, Castle Cottage, Sawry, Ambleside", stating: "Dear Tant, It is understood that you are leaving Troutbeck Park at Martinmas wanting a change. I hope you will all be happy in your new surroundings ... I dare say I will be up at the Park before you move; the weather has not been helpful for bronchitis ... yrs truly, H. B. Heelis". Also included in the lot is a Peter Rabbit Greetings Card (not inscribed) and a clipped newspaper article headlined "Last of Beatrix Potter's Lakeland Shepherds". (3)
