A Cantonese bowl and stand made for the Islamic market the bowl painted and gilt to the exterior with insects amongst scattered fruit and flowersprays, the stand with panels of ladies at leisure on terraces and birds perched on rockwork amongst blossoming, both on green gold scroll grounds with central calligraphic roundels -- the plate 9 7/8in. (25cm) diam, (few minute rim chips to stand).
