The undecorated glass bowl on spreading circular foot, secured by three straps chased with draped figures against a tooled ground, the wide collar engraved with oval reserves enclosing birds and spaced by flowerheads, on baluster stem and reel-form base chased with leaf-tips, underside of base with circular plaque engraved with with an inscription around a coat-of-arms, the associated cover applied with a lion supporting a coat-of-arms and finial formed as an archer, apparently unmarked
