拍品专文

The richly coloured claret-red field and design of palmettes and linked saz leaves are a clear derivation of Safavid Isfahan carpets woven during the reign of Shah Abbas (1587-1629). The scale and excellent quality of this carpet illustrates the quality of Agra carpet weaving in the 19th century.
