QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)

The pendant is carved as a locking two-part 'tally', one side is carved with a yinyang symbol encircled by eight archaistic characters, the roundel on the reverse with four characters reading ping ding he fu ('an amulet wishing peace, stability and harmony').
