拍品专文

The use of the daybed was manifold - during the day, it served as a sitting platform, and at night a bed. Compare to a waisted huanghuali daybed, formerly in the Heveningham Hall collection, later sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 28 May 2021, lot 2803.

This item is made of a type of Dalbergia wood which is subject to CITES export/import restrictions since 2 January 2017.
