CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, ÉPOQUE QIANLONG (1736-1795)
Reposant sur un pied évasé circulaire souligné d'une frise de têtes de ruyi en léger relief, la panse est délicatement sculptée de masques de taotie et volutes archaïsants. Il est flanqué de deux prises latérales cambrées reliées au bord supérieur par un cylindre horizontal. Le couvercle est orné sur l'aile d'un décor archaïsant similaire et est muni d'une prise globulaire aplatie ajourée représentant un dragon de face parmi les lotus et rinceaux feuillagés.
Hauteur : 17 cm. (6 3/4 in.) ; Longueur : 24.2 cm. (9 1/2 in.)

The present lot may be compared with the spinach-green jade tripod censer and cover, Qianlong period, of a similar size and decorated with taotie masks, from the Tianhe Shanfang Collection, sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 30 May 2005, lot 1567; and also with the spinach-green jade censer sold at Christie's Hong Kong on 27 November 2007, lot 1549 from the Collection of Alan and Simone Hartman.
