"Very small harvest. Due to a heavy frost on the 27th April they lost 80% of the Musigny production. Especially Chambolle was severely hit that night. Fortunately the rest of the summer was very good resulting in fine mature fruit of high quality.
Tasting note: Still going through malolactic at the time, which is late but very much what Francois is aiming for. Beautiful ruby red color. Lovely purity of taste, great finesse with silky smooth texture. On the finish a fine raspberry tone prevailed followed by aromas of roses and freshly crushed blueberries. After the 2015 now it’s back to a classic Musigny. Great wine. What a length. All finesse. May 2017." - Edwin Vos
