This endangered species strap is shown for display purposes only and is not for sale. The watch will be supplied with a calf leather strap.
A highly attractive and rare reference, the present watch is fresh to the market, numbered 1 in a limited edition of 50.
With a magnificent gold engraved skeletonized movement, the reference was produced in 1992 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the creation of Omega’s 27 CHRO C12 project launched in 1942, which led to the manufacture of the Calibre 321, the movement used in the very first Speedmaster.
To further enhance the collectability of the model, Omega launched three limited series cased in 18K gold in 1992: a first series of 999 pieces fitted with the caliber 863 movement and a full case back, a second series of 250 watches with COSC certified caliber 864 movement with a display back and the third series, such as the present watch, made in 50 examples with a skeletonized movement and display back.
Arguably the most collectible timepiece of the three series, this timepiece is even more important as it is number 1 of the series of 50.
