A JIZHOU SPLASHED BROWN-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY
The jar is covered with a dark brown glaze that stops above the foot to expose the pale grey ware and is decorated with sweeping brushstrokes of buff color shading to milky blue in areas.
5 ¼ in. (13.3 cm.) diam.
