Winter Palace grenadier guard standing at ease

Peter Schetenin (1806-?) is recorded as being a painter at the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in St. Petersburg in 1829. A porcelain plate by the artist, of a similar design with palace guards, signed and dated 1829 was sold at Sotheby's, lot 65, as part of the Lily and Edmond J. Safra Collection, 18 October 2011.
