Offered in ‘Like New’ condition, the present timepiece was created by the Breguet manufacture to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Abraham-Louis Breguet.

Part of the most important 'Grand Complication' modern timepieces produced by Breguet, the present wristwatch features a tourbillon, minute repeater, perpetual calendar, jumping hour, retrograde date and leap year indication. Crafted within a beautiful platinum case of contemporary design, the wristwatch is believed to be one of only 3 wristwatches made in platinum, representing a rare opportunity for passionate collectors of Breguet to own one of the most complicated timepiece ever produced by the manufacture.

Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823)
Considered as the leading watchmaker of his day, Abraham-Louis Breguet is widely acknowledged for having set the standard by which all fine watchmaking has been judged ever since. Born in Neuchatel Switzerland, it was in Paris that he spent most of his productive life. Being at the origin of some of the most important breakthroughs, Breguet was credited for the development of the successful self-winding perpetuelle watches, the introduction of the gongs for repeating watches, the first shock-protection for balance pivots and the tourbillon.
Becoming an indispensable watchmaker for the scientific, military, financial and diplomatic elites of the age, his timepieces ruled the courts of Europe. For his most celebrated clients, Breguet designed exceptional timepieces and was saluted for his enormous contribution to horology. Appointed to the Board of Longitude and as chronometer-maker to the navy, he entered the Academy of Sciences and received the Legion of Honour from the hands of Louis XVIII.
